I just pray that il Papa did not say what some sources have reported he said... I also pray that the leader of our faith does not join in the Western (mostly American Evangelistic Protestant) fashion of calling Muslims "fascists" and the faith of Islam "a religion of terror"... no faith should be judged based upon its extremist or fundamentalist members. If Catholics were all viewed as being "abortion-clinic bombers" our own faith would be called "hateful" and a religion of "fear and intolerance".
I find it ironic that a man can find forgiveness (from God and men) for being complicit with real Fascists during the Second World War, but he persecutes persons now for their religious or ideological beliefs (which have nothing to do with fascism).
